ALTARS THAT SPEAK

Act 10:1-8  At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion of what was known as the Italian Cohort, a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God. About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God come in and say to him, "Cornelius." And he stared at him in terror and said, "What is it, Lord?" And he said to him, "Your prayers and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God. And now send men to Joppa and bring one Simon who is called Peter. He is lodging with one Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea." When the angel who spoke to him had departed, he called two of his servants and a devout soldier from among those who attended him, and having related everything to them, he sent them to Joppa.
The people who have always captured God’s attention have always been the ones who knew how to sacrifice unto Him.
Without a sacrifice, an altar is useless. There must be something laid on it and then heaven shall open and speak. The Lord showed me concerning those who knew to sacrifice as they prayed and those who did not, and there was a difference in power as I prayed for them. God has always been moved by those who have been willing to sacrifice unto Him.
The Lord taught David how to attract His mercies: offer sacrifices.
We must understand that the prayer has to go with the incense for it to be acceptable on the altar of God.
Solomon offered the sacrifice, and prayed, and GOD appeared to him and told him to ask for whatever he wants. God is not a respecter of persons, He will do the same for you when you do the same thing another person has done.
Job had God constantly speaking to him because he knew how to offer sacrifices daily and to pray for his family.
You may say, ‘But apostle that was only in the Old Testament’. In the NT Cornelius was in the habit of offering alms until an angel of God appeared to him and led to him into the way of salvation.
Zecharias was also offering a sacrifice during the time of prayer when an angel appeared to him…
