Don’t know what to pray for???
Here is a guideline I have prepared to help you pray more effectively that you
can print and lay before you as you hold every day of the prayers. They are in the form of questions which you are
to convert into prayers [as they apply to your life].
You can pray these prayers over
and over again, as you yet feel the burden to pray them during the entire time
of this fast. You do not have to pray them all at once. You can always pray
them piece-meal. They are meant to give you something to pray for, not keep you
in prayer 24-7. But it is good if at the end of the fast you will have covered
every section.
When the burden lifts, the answer
is on the way. Try to be as detailed and specific in your request as possible.
Do not quickly rush over the prayers, no, try and dwell on a point
sufficiently. Convince God.
Now, to the prayers:
Yourself:
1.
Do you understand your calling in God? Do you
need more understanding? Pray about that.
2.
Are you married? Not yet? Do you have the kind
of marital partner you desire in your life in mind? Pray about that.
3.
Would you like to be wiser than your enemies?
Yes? Pray about that.
4.
Do you think your prayer life could use some
divine boost and you could do with some consistency and more time spent in
prayer? Pray about that.
5.
Are you married? Is there anything you would
like to see God doing in your marriage? Pray about that.
6.
Do you need a healing in your physical body?
Pray about that.
7.
Would you like to know what is in store for you
in the future? Want divine revelation? Pray about that.
8.
Are you divorced, or separated, or a widow? Is
there something you desire for God to do in your situation? Pray about that.
9.
Is there a financial need in your life? Unpaid
for bills? Loans taken? Debts to be cleared? Pray about that.
10.
Is there any understanding in the things of God
that you desire to have? Any particular area of understanding? Pray about that.
11.
Do you have good friends to influence you in the
right way? Do you have any friends at all? Need God to move in that area? Pray
about that.
12.
Are you filled with the Holy Spirit? No? Yes?
Desire to be filled/filled more? Pray about that.
13.
Is there a particular spiritual gift that you
would like to operate in? Word of knowledge? Prophecy? Working of miracles?
Interpretation of tongues? Another yet? Pray about that.
14.
Do you feel like you have lost much time and
desire to recover it back? Pray about that.
15.
Are you in school and are finding it hard to
pass your exams? Do not have the study fees? Shortage? Pray about that.
16.
Do you want God to help you build your life on
His Word? Pray about that.
17.
Do you have some open human enemies whom you
would like God to deal with on your behalf? Pray about that.
18.
Would you like to be a millionaire? Billionaire?
Double yes? Pray about that.
19.
Have you lost anything that you would like to
see God restoring? Time? Finances? Relationships? Something else? Pray about
that.
20.
Is there a fresh anointing you desire to be
released upon your life? Healing? Miracles? Prophecy? Pray about that.
21.
Are you struggling with any sin that you need to
be free from? Pray about that.
22.
Do you want to further your studies and don’t
know where the resources for your study will come from? Pray about that.
23.
Have you had difficulty obtaining a VISA to a
particular country? Need a VISA soon. Planning to travel? Pray about that.
24.
Are there any new things you would like God to
do in your life? Pray about that.
25.
Is there a particular house or car that you have
desired to possess? Pray about that.
26.
Do you need a new job, a promotion, or just a
job? Pray about that.
27.
Is there an area of your life that you need
favor in? Pray about that.
28.
Do you find yourself being selfish in your
prayers? Yes? A lot? Pray about that.
29.
Are you planning to start a business, or would
wish to have one? A fashion line? A TV program? A restaurant? An NGO? Car
business? Something else? Pray about that.
30.
Do you want God to use you to win souls into His
kingdom? Double yes? Pray about that.
31.
Do you need more wisdom, knowledge and
understanding? Pray about that.
32.
Do you want God to convict you about a sin in
your life which you are not aware of? Pray about that.
33.
Do you have a deliverance issue in your life
that you would like God to break in your life? Dreams? Lust? Unbelief? Anger?
Jealousy? Gossip? Something else? Pray about that.
34.
Would you like to preach God’s word to the
nations? Pray about that.
35.
Do you see other needs that are not mentioned
here but are in this category? Pray about that.
Your church:
1.
Is there something your lead minister has spoken
about in your church that he/ she desires to be accomplished? Pray about that.
2.
Do you desire to see more grace flowing in your
pastors? More wisdom? Particular emphases you would like then to place in the
ministry? Pray about that.
3.
Is there a particular area that you can see the
church you are at is suffering from? Holiness? Unity? Hunger for the Word? Love?
Joy? Financial Lack? Unbelief? Carelessness? Prayerlessness? Order? Content in
the messages preached? Something else? Pray about that.
4.
Do you think that your church can have more
people in the congregation? Pray about that.
5.
Is there a stagnated spiritual growth in your
church? Pray about that.
6.
Are all the people in your church busy in
serving the Lord? No? Pray about that.

Do you think that there are other gifted
ministers who are needed in your church? Pray about that.

Do you see a need to do a better follow up on
new believers in your church? Yes? Pray about that.
9.
Do you see a need to better understand financial
principles in your church? Pray about that.

Is there some anointing that you feel is lacking
in your church? Pray about that.

Do you know of people who are serving in your
ministry who need more grace and greater anointing? Pray about that.
12.
Do you see a people who are yet struggling to
enter into their destinies in your church? Any specific people? Pray about
that.

Is there a particular department of the ministry
that is struggling to come up? Women’s ministry? Youth? Sunday School?
Evangelism? Intercessory? Men’s ministry? Media? Some other department? Pray
about that.
14.
Is there any area of spiritual barrenness that
you would like God to address? Worship? Miracles? Souls saved? Spiritual
growth? Pray about that.
15.
Do you think your church needs fresh
millionaires and billionaires? Pray about that.
16.
Do you think your church could do with more
intercessors? Pray about that.
17.
Is there some sin or burden: gossip, negative
criticism, false expectations, unhealthy burdens, strife and weariness, that
needs to be curtailed in the church? Pray about that.
18.
Is your church struggling financially? Needing
more partners? Having unfulfilled visions? Pray about that.
19.
Does your church need more weddings? More
members? Pray about that.
20.
Would you like God to raise people from your
church to go and preach His Word among the nations? Pray about that.
21.
Do you see a need for more of the prophetic in
your church? Yes? Pray about that.
22.
Are there any physical structures to construct
or things to help in the office or in the ministry during the service that you
know your church needs finances for? Yes? Pray about that.

Do you see other needs that are not mentioned

Your pastors:
1.
Do you feel there are higher levels of grace
that they can access and become more for God? Yes? Pray about that.

Do you desire them to flow in greater
revelations from the Word and from the Lord? Yes? Pray about that.

that will lead to the growth and preservation of the church and ministry? Pray
about that.

Do you want them to be of good character and
integrity as they serve you? Yes? Pray about that.

Do you desire to see them preach boldly against

together with their families so they can be better ministers to you and others?

and heard them express concerning your church in the future that you would want
to back up? Pray about that.

off into pride? Pray about that.

their names? Do you know what needs everyone of them would have? Pray about
that.

Do you know anything that is happening in their
lives or in the church that would cause them stress? Pray about that.

Your spouse (for the married):

Would you like to receive more loving words and
actions from your spouse? Yes? Pray about that.

Do you want God to show you what is most
important for you to pray over your spouse? Pray about that.

Do you desire to see a closer walk with God in
your spouse? Do you want to hear them say that God spoke to them? Pray about
that.

Do you think there are greater financial
blessings that can come to your spouse to help your financial status become

position allocated to them by God in His order for the family? Pray about that.

a prayer boost to make it? Has your spouse shared his/her heart with you on

Do you know the sins and areas of bondage that

Are there unhealthy addictions in the life of

Is your spouse fighting the purposes of God for
his or her life? Yes? Do you want God to wake them up through appropriate trials
sent along their path? Double yes? Pray about that.
19.
Do you want your spouse to live long? Continue
in good health? Yes? Pray about that.
20.
Would you like it for God to place great
leadership skills in the life of your spouse? Yes? Pray about that.
21.
Do you want your spouse to always be faithful to
your wedding vows? Yes? Pray about that.
22.
Do you want your spouse to be protected from
temptations from the opposite sex? To always be faithful to you? Yes? Pray
about that.

Is there some injustice you saw reported in the

Your neighborhood:

Is there something you have desired to see God

people who live in your neighborhood? Don’t like it? Pray about that.

Do you desire to have a better connection and
relationship with some of your neighbors? Pray about that.

Do you have neighbors whom you know that if
Jesus came back now they would not make it to heaven? Pray about that.

Do you understand the territorial spirit that is
operating in your neighborhood? Homosexuality? Immorality? Violence? Robbery?

Is there some development that you would like to

Do you have a single person in mind in your
church who is aged but would really be glad to get married? Pray about that.

Is there a need for unity peace and protection
in your city and/nation? Pray about that.
3.
Do you think there needs to be more protection
on the roads, waterways and airways of the cities of your nation? Pray about
that.

Do you want God to deliver you and men in your
nation from natural and artificial disasters? Pray about that.
5.
Do you want God to send the captain of the host
of the Lord to rescue the cities of your nation from the hands of strange gods
and usher you to your destination? Pray about that.
6.
Do you want God to deliver the keys to the
pillars of the society (the church, government, economy, science and
technology, formal schools, the media, arts, sports and culture) into the hands
of the church? Yes? Pray about that.
7.
Do you find that people resist the gospel of
Jesus Christ in your city due to the love of money, love of power/position,
fear of persecution, hard-heartedness, materialism and ignorance? Do you want
God to move and turn it around? Pray about that.

Would you like God to overthrow all satanic
activities released to attack families, churches, communities, and cities in
your nation? Yes? Pray about that.

Do you want to see the youth in your city and
nation serving God? Abandoning immorality? Reveling? Do you want to see God
turning them to His Word? Pray about that.

The Church

Do you think the world needs more laborers for
the gospel? Greater? Apostles? Pastors? Prophets? Evangelists? Pray about that.

like Moses, Joshua, Esther, Deborah, Mary, Samuel, Elijah, David and Daniel to
do the work of God?

Do you think the fire of God needs to come back

Can you see any carnality and sin in the Body of
Christ that makes her not the bride whom Christ is coming back for? Do you
believe that God is able to remove this carnality and restore the church to
purity and holiness? Pray about that.

the use of the glory of the kingdom of God more than the kingdom of darkness?

Do you know of any dangerous nations which are
threatening other nations that should be stopped by the divine hand? Iran? Another
one? Pray about that.

Do you think your fellow fastees should have
divine visitations and miracles taking place in their lives as they pray? Yes?
